Iván Salgado

Born in Ourense in 1991, he began to Excel in the world of chess from very early ages, obtaining the title of Grandmaster at the age of 16.

It has also won the Championship of Spain on several occasions and was named runner-up world under 18 in 2009.

It has also got different important national impact titles highlighting the vicorias in 2007 in Pamplona open, in 2008 at the San Sebastián International Open in 2009 in the Ruy Lopez International Festival in Zafra, in 2010 in the neighborhood open, the masterful city of Barcelona in 2011 and the international tournament of Forni di Sopra in 2012.

The last outstanding triumph took place also in 2012 towering Ibero-American Champion in Quito.

He is the current champion of Spain.

Team Titles

Championships in Spain by regions representing Galicia, in 2005 succeeded in Galician championship with the U-16 team in 2006 and 2007 runner-up Spain with absolute Galician selection.

In the championships for clubs representing the Club Marcote of Mondariz, 10 in 2005 and 2006 won the Galician championship teams, in 2009 Spain runner-up team in 2010 and Spain's championship division team honor.

Participated representing Spain in the 2010 Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, and in the European Championship chess team twice, in 2009 in Novi Sad, 2011 in Porto Carras.
